Last night I fell asleep reading to Levi and had a heck of a time waking up this morning. We had an agenda, sort of, but scrapped it and will catch up tomorrow. We took our time getting packed up and let the kids play at the park on the way out.
We drove down to Boston and then kept driving to our campground (the only one we could find, since we might have forgotten about Labor Day weekend and just made the reservations two days ago). It was an interesting drive through the city and took us through a very long tunnel that had exits to other roads underground. I started to wonder if we were ever going to see light again! There were lots of low bridges and we were careful to look at the height clearance signs under each one. We made it to our spot and it was a tight squeeze to back in. We got here and set up and then noticed that the camper behind us is also from Colorado!
We spent the afternoon picking up, planning and catching up with homework! ☹
This evening, John is going on his own adventure. We ate a quick dinner of clean-out-the-fridge food and then he walked to an Uber to a train to a bus to the airport to pick up a rental car and drive it back. We explored all of our options for being able to get to Boston to explore the city tomorrow and that was by far the cheapest! (Don’t worry, I am no fool! After he left me alone with the kids in the RV and headed for the airport (AIRPORT!), I contacted friends known to have flight benefits and made sure they would not give non-rev info to John!) We are excited to explore a new city tomorrow!
Anxious to see pictures of Boston and to hear how you spent the day (Labor Day).
