Why the RV

Originally, we planned to travel by minivan and stay in hotels.  However, some health issues earlier this year necessitated some significant dietary changes.  Afraid of eating in restaurants for 6 weeks and being able to stay healthy, we toyed with the idea of traveling by RV.  Renting is crazy expensive, and borrowing is risky, so we started shopping!  Not knowing much about RVs, we set a budget (one salesman laughed and said, “That will never happen”) and started looking at various models to see what would work best for us.  Knowing our budget, I prayed that we would find something mechanically sound and clean enough that I would be able to be comfortable in it for 6 weeks.  After a very discouraging 48 hours of shopping, we found the PERFECT unit, in our budget, remodeled to look like a mountain cabin – we are in LOVE with our 1999 Shasta Travelmaster (30’ class C) Motorhome (God is so good!).
