Today we experienced the best of what Dubois has to offer. We started off with Cowboy breakfast cooked off the chuck wagon, by my father-in-law, which is what he does best!
The mules are always MORE than happy to help with leftover pancakes!
Later we headed into town to introduce Mom to the World FAMOUS Jackalope(s) for some photo-ops!
After a great morning in Dubois, Mom and I packed up and headed to Jackson to do a little sightseeing and be in position for Mom’s unbearably early flight in the morning. On our way over the pass toward Jackson, we were able to pull over and watch this little cutie! Bear sightings are always exciting and I was on high-alert watching for his mama… apparently they got separated and the mama had not been seen for quite some time, but the baby was doing fine on his own!
Mom and I made it to Jackson and walked a bit around town. We had an amazing burger for dinner and got some ice cream before returning to our hotel room. I took the opportunity to do something I have wanted to do for a LONG time… in Jackson, there is the coolest toy store I have ever been in. In it, they have a target shooting course (with the lazer guns) set up all over the store. I paid my $5 and shot all of the things! SO fun!
