We were supposed to leave on Friday. That was the plan. That did not happen. For a bunch of reasons, most of which I will spare you. I will say that we have had the wildest weather in CO this year. It snowed on the first day of summer and of course, the week that we are prepping the RV for a big trip is the first week in the 90s and I am pregnant and I HATE hot weather anyway and OF COURSE John had to go and break his toe on Thursday night (pinky toe, accelerator foot) and we are setting out on a trip where we are towing (pun intended) and I don’t tow. 😊
I get a text from my sister-in-law at about 915, inquiring about our current location.
To which I respond with this picture:

To which I then further explain, “Do you not recognize John’s car, sitting in the driveway of OUR house in the background?”
About 10 minutes later I get a text from my dad, “Where are you guys?”
“Brighton.”
“Thought you guys were leaving yesterday.”
“Didn’t”
The good news is that as awful as packing and prepping to leave was, we made excellent time and still managed to arrive in Dubois in time for a delicious, home-cooked meal with John’s family!
The bad news is that pregnancy swelling has begun, and it is ferocious! By the time we pulled into Dubois, the only footwear that I was able to don were John’s house slippers. Not cute. I have to say that pregnant Tonya does not have the same affinity for Romeo Victor as not pregnant Tonya. I’ll leave it at that but I *might* have threatened to sell Romeo Victor a time or two.
Annie has a similar disdain for this mode of travel (or really any mode of travel) and I managed to capture this picture of her with her eyes open and her tongue OUT!

Just picked up on the Blog… We’ll need to catch up on your travels.
Our brief css as moving trip went well. I like the Arkansas River so much that Rene and I will do it again.
