Sunday Funday

Woke up this morning at 840, our online church starts at 830, missed the first part of the worship set, but caught the message and the last song.  It was fun to be able to living room church from South Dakota!

In case you are wondering about John’s back injury, it still looks horrifying and we have been dressing it daily.

After church, Trista and I rounded up the laundry and headed up to the pool, we swam and got the laundry done.  There is plenty to do in this area and we could have done more, but we all just really wanted some down time.

When Trista and I returned with the laundry (John had been trying to install a radio antenna and Levi had been playing… Minecraft!  (Surprise)), I looked over at Romeo Victor and saw this:

I looked right at John and said, “I leave you alone for like an hour and half… what kind of bad habits have you gotten Romeo into?!”

This afternoon we headed into town to hit a Rock Shop and stop back at that grocery store to grab some gluten free goods.

Back to the RV, back to the pool!  I finally drug myself back to Romeo to start dinner.  I always hate recipes that call for Chipotle peppers, because they almost always call for one!  I hate to be wasteful, but you can’t save them because they get so HOT!  I realize the whole can cost me like $1.12, but still… All week we have been camped next to a group of Mexican guys who are friendly, but speak about as much English as we do Spanish, so communication is limited.  (I will say the smells coming from their camper around dinner time were AMAZING, but I couldn’t figure out how to score an invite!)  Anyway, I sent John out with the can and they were really excited!  One guy commented, “These are the good ones!”  They placed the can in the middle of the table and just stabbed in their knives and ate them like that.  I can’t even imagine, but I am glad they didn’t go to waste!

In other news, my recipe was even better than I expected it to be!  We will definitely be making this again: https://neighborfoodblog.com/2013/05/chipotle-sweet-potato-and-chicken-sausage-foil-packets-gluten-free.html
